This is my go-to soup recipe! I always seem to have these things on hand and it is so super easy. If you’re a beginner at soup, this is the recipe for you!
Also, if you’re a fan of Miso soup (one of my favorite soups!) this is going to be right up your alley. I can’t resist a good Miso soup at a sushi restaurant, the words “and a Miso soup” just automatically come out 🙂
Serves 4
You’ll need:
- 3 cans of chicken stock
- 1 packet of dry Miso Soup from Trader Joes
- 1 package of shitake mushrooms (stems removed and tops sliced)
- 3 green onions (chopped)
- A package of Trader Joes chicken potstickers (or another flavor)
Add the chicken stock and Miso soup mix to a pot, bring to a boil. Add in the shitake mushrooms and 1/2 of your onions (the remaining will be for garnish). Add in the potstickers and boil for 2-3 minutes (or until cooked). Be careful not to overcook them, though. You’ll pretty much know they’re done when they’re all puffed up. Serve immediately and garnish with additional green onions (and optional sriracha 😉 ). So easy!
Hope you enjoy!

Oh wow, two of my favourite things combined, I will be trying this!
